Here are some tips to help quit smoking. First and foremost, set a date to start and quit COMPLETELY on that day. To prepare for that date, you can:
* Identify the times you are more likely to smoke. For example, do tend to smoke when stressed, when out at night with friends when you are drinking coffee or alcohol when you’re bored when you’re driving?.
* Keep a diary to help you determine such risky times and record each time you smoke a cigarette, including time of day and what they are doing.
* Make a plan for what to do instead of smoking at those times when you are most likely to smoke. For example, drink tea instead of coffee because tea may not trigger the desire for a cigarette. Or walk when feeling stressed. Remove ashtrays and cigarettes from the car and instead put pretzels or hard candies. It can pretend to smoke with a straw in his mouth.
* Let her know all friends, relatives and colleagues of his plan to quit smoking and starting date. Simply being aware that they know can be a helpful reminder and motivator.
* Before the date to stop smoking, it is recommended to begin reducing cigarette consumption, including decreasing the number and strength of cigarettes. * Avoid smoky places and situations in which you are more likely to smoke.
* Exercise to relieve anxiety by smoking.

Above all, it is advisable not to get discouraged for not being able to quit smoking the first time. Nicotine addiction is a hard habit to break. The next time you can try something different.
