@bebe0756 well I didn’t have an ostomy so I can’t say about that but a lot of ppl are happy with them. My grandma has one and she is just happy to eat what she likes and not be in pain. But the scar will get better, I promise you that. It will slowly fade and smooth out. Things will get better, very slowly so hang in there :)

I was sick also with TPN line and a tube into my nose for nutrition ( when from 120 lbs. – 88lbs.). I have a bad scar from my surgery and an isotomy bag. I am unhappy with the results. I feel better but I feel horrible when I look at myself in the mirror. Does it even get better?

I have crohns disease diagnosed at 18 which was in 2003, I have had 3 surgeries to fix me, first was due to my bowel bursting I asked for keyhole and the refused and gave me an ileostomy they reversed the ileostomy then 6months later they left me with c.dif for 6months I ended up with another ileostomy and a full colectomy I am seeing the surgeons tomorrow about another reversal, I had a sucessful pregnancy and went into remission because of it, being ill can reduce fertility though, x

@lindsay8187 It’s crazy, my surgeon says they arn’t sure why but alot of women experience remission during pregnancy, but he also says if the chrohns is active when you get pregnant it can be ruff. It’s so crazy when i was diagnosed 23yrs ago and had my surgery 19 yrs ago I had never heard of the disease before and now with the internet you can share stories with people going thru the same things so easily! it stunk too as a young teen because the only suport groups were all old people.

I wasn’t diagnosed with my last pregnancy but soon after and I felt great during my pregnancy too! Makes you wonder if hormones play a role in it??

  • uluvSparrow

Thanks for the comment, I am doing excellent and I hope the same results for you :D

Thanks for the video. I have had crohns since I was 26. After just about every drug possible, I am coming to the realization that I will soon have to have surgery. It is interesting to see videos of other people going through what I have felt to be my own personal problem. I am sad for all of those who have it. I must say the constant pain is the worst! I hope that you are feeling much better and that you will need no more surgery! Take care :-)

how old are u know ?

  • momslovefattyspins

Sadly, thats kinda normal. If you are having chronhs activity it can result in a pregnancy that isn’t viable :( Being in remission and healthy in general is important to keep the pregnancy. But keep trying! My surgeon has one patient that keeps getting pregnant because her chrohns stays under control during pregnancy. She has 5 kids lol! If you get pregnant while the disease is active it may stay active the whole time though so i guess there is some timing involved. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for all the advice! The truth of the matter is that I became pregnant accidentally a few months ago and when I found out I was stressed and began having crohn’s symptoms. A week later I lost the pregnancy. We are okay about it, but we worry about another miscarriage or the crohns coming back during the next pregnancy. At least it’s good to know that you didn’t have too many problems :)
