How to hide Acne/Acne scars!

We all have them. I happen to REALLY have them- usually at any given time there are about 6 on my face, and usually located on my cheeks. I also have some scarring that I fear will never go away. But throughout the two years that I’ve had this problem, I’ve learned how to perfect the method of covering them up. I hope that this video is useful to those of you who are really struggling with acne. It’s a terrible plague upon the face- I NEVER go anywhere without applying at LEAST concealer. I’ve actually told my boss that I would rather be late to work than go anywhere without covering up my blemishes. This takes about 5 minutes, and is really simple. All you need is a concealer (a double-sided one, or you can buy individual green sticks and flesh-colored sticks from the drugstore), foundation, and powder, and you’re set to go! Leave me lots of feedback, I want to know how this worked out for you!

@JamonjiCahillibongo Everybody is vain, honey. How else do you explain the flourishing fashion industry? Why don’t we just wear potato sacks and not be vain then. Some of us think we look better in certain ways so respect that. The skin breathing thing is shit and not science. I agree with you about the meds though, they are helpful. BP is good for killing bacteria, but retinol is better for skin renewal. Of course, I’m no expert and I hope I’m don’t come across as trying to sound like one:)

Thanks for the advice! I used to cake on so much liquid foundation but people found it repulsive apparently cos it would inevitably crack and get really oily. I even put it when I swam (Estee Lauder Double Wear is really water proof!). But my friend said less is better cos people know anyway. Of course I would never go without but I don’t overdo it now. Try antibiotics if it gets really bad. I use green-cover up and powder foundation, but remember there is always photoshop for those nasty zits:)

That works great…I guess I always felt like it was way to weird to put green on my skin but it really works!

I went to walmart to look for this, and i found buy one get one free.
I just washed off my other makeup and re-did it with this product.
I am glad I came across this video or else I wouldn’t of ever thought to buy a green concealer.
    -Thumbs up.

@bloodfalcon7722 Makeup does tend to make breakouts worse cause it does not enable the skin to “breathe”.

i understnad how u feel….when i had acne even tho wen i knew makeup was bad for it…i couldnt leave the house without putting makeup on. even at home i had to makeup on. however……..i started using an an oil cleanser and a gel moisturizer (all for sensitive skin is basically for acne skin because things irritate yourskin will just break you out). then every week i’d do a bentonite clay mask with honey and green tea…and for toner, check out apple cider vinegar. cleared my spots. no lies.

You’re so brave to actually put these pics up!

I have similar acne prone skin and a LOT of red marks.
I’ve been looking for a tutorial like this, but no one else is brave enough like you~

    thanks !

@JamonjiCahillibongo You are talking crap. I have acne too. It is very damaging to self esteem and covering up, especially for special occasions, work etc is not going to do more damage unless you use the wrong products. Roaccutane is a serious medication and not everyone is willing to take the risk and suffer the side effects. Your ‘advice’ is mean and not helpful, even if you do make some good points. You need a course in CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I think she’s done a good cover up job.

thank you alot for this! o:

i’m not being funny or nasty but it’s no fkn wonder you have acne the amount of shit you put on your face. and no matter what you do…you can still see the fact you have acne except now you have a shovel full of make up over it which makes it look worse.
when your acne is this bad you need to have a course of Roaccutane. This is prescribed to you by dermatologists NOT General Practitioners who, in my mind, know very little about skin related problems. Sack the make up…

  • JamonjiCahillibongo

…you’re only making your skin WORSE. You need to let the fresh air to in. Skin needs to BREATHE not be suffocated by chemical paints. Stop being so vain, get on the RIGHT medication…peroxide lotions do NOT work and in 6 months, on the right meds, you won’t have acne!!! And i AM speaking from experience. Retin-A is ALSO a miracle cure for Acne AND Scarring…good luck getting some of that from your GP though… it’s no longer available (UK) even on prescription…u shud get it online though!

i wonder how many womens do this

  • fivemaroongirl2

Definitely buying that product tomorrow. Just found it on walmart.com :D

Good job. I will try this one for sure. Thanks for sharing this method with us… I enjoy watching makeup tutorials but almost all of the makeup artists have that “perfect skin” so maybe we don’t always see the beautiful result. I hope I can do this just like you did because you really did a great job, and after the results come much better with the acne covered up :)

I have rather severe acne and no one EVERY talks about how to cover it here on youtube. All the gurus seem to have almost flawless skin that a light coverage that fix right up. Leaving girls like me with nothing to really go off of. I see you used to revlon color stay, I use maybelline super stay but they have a very limited color selection in my tone. Is it long last even on the most oily of skin types?

  • nikkasianbarbieee

thank you so much! i have about this much acne too :/

  • hadanimia

    very good
    thanks

  • vivsters96

Thank you so much for this! I can barely wash the makeup off my face when sleeping over at my best friend’s house! Luckily my acne isn’t necessarily “severe”, but whatever pimples I do get leave a horrible red scar that make it look as if I have severe acne. Hopefully this will help!

  • stephenlandrum

@arrudababy5 Post a picture of how ugly u are

  • volumetonepower

    Cool!!

But many people suffering from acne also have oily skin, which again will blur away the make up a few hours later…

i’ve recently started breaking out like crazy!!! on my cheeks :( dealing with it for 3 months and i feel like complete shit……just like LIlana said its a infection….but recently i’ve been prescribed epiduo and i thought it wasnt helping but what i do is use Mario badescu’s drying mask, wait 20 mins, rinse off, then let dry for a sec, then apply epiduo and its cleared up dramatically, im left with scars because i’ve picked at them….DONT PICK AT THEM seriously…..just dont…i regret it
