Abstract: Advances in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) in the past decade include 5-aminosalicylic preparations with fewer adverse effects; new, rapidly metabolized corticosteroids; and new agents targeted at refractory or complicated IBD. Downloaded Kindle for Mac, bought item noted and thought would be informative but appears to only be an abstract…not a great experience for first time using this feature. Would have loved to know this was only an abstract and not the actual article. Could not find anything that specifically stated that.
